Private Parties / Private Venue Hire
We can take bookings in the Café as a table reservation, but we also have other spaces that we hire out for private parties:
- The Shackleton Room off the Café, which seats 12 comfortably
- The Gallery is ideal for drinks parties up to 70 or dinners for up to 30
- The Club is occasionally available for parties for up to 120.
- The Wine Bar fantastic for a private drinks party up to 20 people.

If The Troubadour is your kind of hangout why not book either the Club or the Gallery for a private event? These two London party venues have their own unique vibe so any kind of party can be catered for, from a specially-tailored dinner for up to 32 people, to a late-night stonker for 120. Thinking of something smaller, what about the wine bar or the Shackleton Room, both of which are available for hire. They offer a much smaller intimate affair with the same great atmosphere food and drink.
Whether it’s a birthday party, a private view, a client schmoozing event, a record or book launch, or a no-reason knees up, our focus on excellent service and building a fantastic atmosphere will ensure a great occasion for you and your guests.
Hire the Club for a Private Party
The Club capacity is 120. We can organise a live band for that exciting music experience, or put you in touch with DJs with the best in eclectic party grooves. If you have your own band or DJ, that’s fine with us and our PA system and soundman will ensure your party music is spot on! The Club is available to hire from 8pm till 2 am.
The Gallery can house 70 for canapés and drinks or 30 for a comfortable sit-down dinner. It also has a speaker set which can play old-fashioned CDs or something more modern.
The Shackleton Room (our polar cabin, named after one of Britain’s greatest heroes) likes 10-12 people. There you can order from the Troubadour menu or create your own in advance, leave the door open to hear the buzz of the Café, or close it for a more private feel. It’s a really charming and versatile space.
Last, but obviously not least is the Wine Bar; perfect for a drinks party with the Wine Shop above it, and will fit 15-30 happily, with a little bit less than that for food and snacks.
