Coffee House Poetry continues a long history of Poetry events at the Troubadour, now in its fifteenth year it is an integral part of the Troubadour Club and Gallery.

Before owning the Troubadour, Simon Thornhill was in The Scots Guards for 18 years and as such we are proud to support the Scot’s Guards Colonel’s Fund which gives support the family’s of those killed or wounded in action and to the soldiers themselves. We have a long history with Sheppy’s Cider, having stocked their Oakwood Special since the current owners took over (Susie grew up in Taunton, Somerset where they are based). We now stock their Commando Hoofing Cider, which together with Cotleigh’s Hoofing Beer donate 5p per pint to ‘Go Commando’ – a charity supporting the Royal Marines Family.

Only Roses supplies the lovely roses that adorn our tables in the Cafe, Club and if required The Gallery. They are also based in Old Brompton Road and are happy to provide arrangements for weddings and parties.

An amazing photographer, we are lucky enough to have some of his work hanging in The Troubadour Gallery.


Designers and Makers of the folding bike they hail from this very road. Hence the name.
